Usability Research

I run usability research and testing to validate designs with real users, so decisions are based on evidence rather than assumptions—reducing risk and improving outcomes.

Working with stakeholders and research teams, I plan and facilitate user testing sessions, analyse findings, and translate insights into clear recommendations. I've conducted research across web and mobile in industries including insurance, finance, and government, using moderated and unmoderated methods where appropriate.

I focus on actionable outcomes: identifying usability issues, validating navigation and key flows, and testing prototypes before build. Findings are documented and prioritised so teams can iterate with confidence and align around user-centred evidence.

Where full studies aren't possible, I apply lean research techniques—quick tests, feedback rounds, and heuristic reviews—to still ground decisions in user behaviour and best practice. Usability research is integral to my end-to-end UX approach, ensuring solutions are not only usable but measurably effective.
